The GATE is a designated 501(c)(3) non-profit agency. Our mission is to help young adults with disabilities achieve independence by providing them with vocational training and social activities.

Social Activities

The GATE provides a variety of activites in a variety of areas to enhance the leisure time of its participants such as:

Games
Music
Art
Athletics
Cooking
Gardening

Pre-Work Experiences

Volunteer jobs will offer participants the opportunity to provide a service to others in the community. Participants will have an opportunity to acquire essential work skills such as:

Effective communication
Following directions
Task completion
Time management
Personal organization

Athletics

Interested participants can experience a variety of Special Olympic events offered through Parks and Rec. The GATE will provide volunteer coaches, registration information, and practice times for these activities.
